Can't Please Them All
You know, it is a known fact that you cannot make everyone happy. I have performed at dozens of churches and each time the audience has been different. Sometimes, I get the "I'll laught at anything" audience. I love this type of audience because they aren't afraid to pick fun at themselves or at society as a whole. Nothing is taboo. They are comfortable in their salvation knowing that laughing at "real" joke will not send them to hell.
Then, I get the "I can't believe she said that" audience. Many times, these are people in the church that believe they live in a sin-free world. They'll pout, turn their noses up, and be offended because I make a joke about being married to the Lord. It is not blasaphemous becasue I am more than comfortable telling the joke and knowing I got a one way ticket to Heaven. But no matter the audience, I always give it my all and hopefully help someone forget about their worries and laugh. Let's be honest, everything I say is usually everything you're thinking. So, aren't you glad I'm your voice!

Happy Turkey Day!
I hope everyone had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Tell me what things you were thankful for this year...
For me, I was thankful that I still had my hips and at my age, I still can do the dip!
I was also thankful that Britney Spears didn't show her kootie kat to the world-AGAIN and that Georgia finally got some rain! Thank ya Jesus!
If you have not already done so, check out the Pilot Episode of my new show Mama Peavy INCITE on www.blip.tv. We are currently in production for Season 1.
Also, get ready for the Mama Peavy and Friends: Healing Through Laughter Tour starting in Spring 2008. I am currently looking for sponsors so if you are interested, please contact me.

Kanye West in Grief
Kanye West is grieving over the unexpected death of his mother, Donda West. It is being said that she had complications during surgery and died in the emergency room. Please keep Kanye West and his family in prayer as they survive through this troubling time. I've never heard one ill thing about Ms. West although her son is a horse of a different color. But Mama Peavy is not one to kick someone when they're down. Be blessed Kanye and be strong!

Paula White, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyer and others under Investigation
OK folks, some high falootin Senator by the name of Grassley is investigating the financial aspects of several prominent ministries here in the United States. Among the ministries are World Changers, New Birth, Without Walls Church, Benny Hinn Ministries, Joyce Meyers, and Kenneth Copeland. The Senator claims how can these folks be so rich while running a non-profit. OK, first, they make other money outside of the church and second, God's children are supposed to be rich. Some may be more rich than others but as long as they are changing lives and living for God, who cares. God doesn't want his people to just be scraping by.
There are hundreds more ministers that make as much if not more than these preachers. What about them? Why are these the targets? Is it because they chose to spend their money on what they wanted instead of what was acceptable. Look, I ain't one to talk but Mr. Senator get a life and spend your efforts on more important things like healthcare, drug abuse, and education.
Well, for a twist on popular news stories be sure to tune it to my new show the Mama Peavy and Tabernacle of Sorrow Show airing November 18, 2007 at 6PM on Mama Peavy TV.
